The flexibility of GPRS

The standard mobile network provides global data barring services called General Packet Radio Service (GPRS)

The GPRS data barring service is truly global. Our technology utilises this extensive network to send updates to remote site devices and collect monitored data. If you can get a reasonable mobile signal at your remote site, our technology will work.

Our custom built hardware, called The Terminator, has the following general specification

  • Two digital inputs
  • Two analogue inputs
  • Two digital outputs
  • RS232 compatible serial port
  • Built in GPRS modem

The inputs can be configured to capture virtually any data stream with the outputs providing the necessary signals to control the remote device (if required).

Please contact us for a detailed discussion about what our technology can do for your company.

GPRS

General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) is a Mobile Data Service available to users of Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM). It is used for Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) access, Short Message Service (SMS), Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS), and for Internet communication services.

We use GPRS to reliably and globally send instructions to customers remote equipment and collect data.
